Permanent make-up is one of the most responsible and
expensive procedures in beauty salons. Therefore requirements
to training for this procedure should be very high.
When one's getting an education, it's like erecting
a building or a tower when it is necessary to stack
stone after stone thoughtfully and carefully. If they
are put carelessly or one of the stones is missing,
the whole tower can fall.
The fundamental theoretic knowledge is the base of
the tower, and it consists of separate stones, too.
If you wish to master permanent make-up you should have
previous medical or cosmetological education, know the
basics of make-up design. It is necessary to know not
only how the Permanent Make-up device works, but also
device technics, hygiene, color and form doctrine basics.
Working with the client, it is necessary to possess
at least initial knowledge of natural skin pigmentation
and communication psychology. Among the necessary qualities
one should name also good taste, aesthetic feel and
a firm hand.
During the education practical work with the models
is not less important than mastering of the theory.
Usually, during the training, permanent make-up of eyebrows,
eyelids and lips at least on two models are mastered
practically. But, of course, it is better to apply micropigmentation
on 10 to 15 models.
You should learn to consider the individuality of each
model, instead of stamping uniform contours. For this
purpose it is necessary not only to know various techniques,
but also correctly use them. Gradually, step by step
it is necessary to learn the cobwebs of form correction,
creation of the preparatory draft and individual color
selection.
It is necessary to master the techniques of lip shading
and contouring, correction of the form of an eyebrow
with thin volumetric hair draughtsmanship, eyelid rendering,
including correction of the form of an eye and density
of eyelashes.
The conditions of successful training are mutual trust
and respect. The teacher should be concerned with more
than two pupils that allows full transferring of the
knowledge with an individual approach to the student.
The intensive course lasts 4 to 10 days average. Considering
various opportunities of learning permanent make-up,
try to understand, what volume and quality of education
are offered to you. In a preliminary conversation try
to receive as much detailed information about it as
possible: ask to show the photos of models before and
after the procedures, carefully look through the results
of your teacher's permanent make-up, learn about the
preliminary demonstrations and prices. Don't let yourself
be lured by talks about "a special offer for reduced
prices".
Pay attention to the devices and the equipment - they
should be of highest quality. Ask to show their certificates,
and also the pigments' and additives' certificates in
which their number on the color index is specified.
After the training try to begin at once practical work
in your salon to apply and nail down the received skills.
There are no little things in permanent
make-up, correct mastering of all stages of this procedure
is equally important. Remember: doing micropigmentation,
you undertake the responsibility for the client's appearance
for a long term!
